COOS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION CELEBRATES 25th ANNIVERSARY BY LAUNCHING NEW YOUTH WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
Lancaster, NH –Coos Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), a non-profit organization that supports Coos County small businesses and fosters economic growth, is pleased to announce that we have crossed another milestone in the history of the organization. This year, we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary of service in Coos County.
What began as an organization solely focused on loaning money to smaller businesses has expanded to provide multiple grants, community partnership, and the launching of new program initiatives. Our organization has countless achievements and accomplishments and has been an essential business over the past two years during the pandemic.
CEDC is grateful to our clients and partners who trusted in us to help them with our business services. Their demands, challenges, and feedback have pushed us to think ahead and ensure we continue to be attuned to the County’s needs. Our success story would not be complete without their support. CEDC plans to continue to keep our business offerings growing with you. With your support, we will continue to explore new heights in the coming years.
“In honor of our 25th Anniversary we are launching our first Youth Workforce Development Business Partnership to include local businesses, White Mountain Regional High School, Department of Education, and ApprenticeshipNH with a Small Business Workforce Training Reimbursement Workshop on August 30th at 4pm,” said Ericka Canales, Executive Director for CEDC. “We will be sharing with businesses all the ways they can be financially compensated for workforce training and job creation. There will follow up in October with Job Fair/Career Panel Discussions so that our youth can better understand the career options available to them.”
